Where the data is stored: Aevi's infrastructure (application server and database) is hosted with Contabo, in Germany; backup copies are encrypted and stay within the European Union. Germany is an EU member state and appears on the Federal Council's list of states with adequate data protection, so the transfer requires no additional contractual safeguards. Aevi Ticino remains the data controller and remains subject to the Swiss FADP.
